Storm Response Coordinator

OVERVIEW

Danella Power Services, Inc., a leader in the utility services industry, is seeking an experienced Storm Response Coordinator to join our Storm Services Division. This position is essential to our mission of providing exceptional service and operational support during storm events throughout the country. Due to the nature of emergency response, this role requires a commitment to 24/7 availability including Holidays and weekends as needed.  

The Storm Response Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting all storm- related activities nationwide. This includes coordinating logistics, overseeing operational processes, and ensuring efficient mobilizations during emergency deployments. The role also focuses on developing and standardizing procedures that enhance speed, accuracy and communication during storm events, from crew roster development and travel coordination to equipment allocation and outbound electronic communications.

This is an on-call position that collaborates closely with the Storm Operations Manager and internal teams throughout emergent events to ensure timely, organized, and effective response efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update lineman outreach materials to ensure a strong pool of qualified personnel. Lead and manage storm field teams of IBEW linemen, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and high performance.
  • Streamline and maintain storm rosters for deployment
  • Standardize templates aligned with utility requirements for improved data transfer
  • Use outbound communication tools for storm callouts and crew confirmations
  • Build and confirm storm crew rosters based on availability and utility specifications
  • Brief crew members on mobilization expectations
  • Provide regular updates to utility partners regarding crew status
  • Serve as the primary communication point for crews and leadership
  • Coordinate with Equipment Management to ensure equipment availability
  • Oversee safe and efficient demobilization of crews and equipment
  • Oversee and implement Danella safety policy to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness and safe practices
  • Ensure all documentation is collected, audited, and submitted accurately
  • Monitor real-time crew check-ins and resolve logistical issues as they arise
  • Must be able to be onsite for all mobilizations and demobilization of storm events 
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Utilize tracking programs such as Motive, and Track Via to monitor and manage Storm Events
  • Maintain fluency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office for efficient and effective communication and reporting
  • Financial responsibility for tool, equipment and other related storm event costs
  • Union Relationships. Applicant must have strong understanding of union working rules and relationships with local IBEWs throughout the country.

Coordinate with the Operations Manager and other key stakeholders on operational matters, providing regular updates and reports

  • Proven experience in a managerial, Logistic or leadership role, preferably in the electric utility storm response industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Data tools 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness to be available 24/7, including holidays and weekends, during storm events.


PREFERRED Education & Experience:

  • • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or related field preferred.
  • • Certifications in emergency management or project management are a plus.
  • • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, emergency management, or operations coordination.
  • • Experience with crew management and transportation logistics.
  • Completed National recognized Journeymen Lineman Certification or IBEW Journeymen Lineman Apprenticeship

  • This role requires flexibility. Hours may vary based on storm events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be on site prior to and after all storm events
